Project Overview

UNIQUEMAC recently completed a 50 tons per hour mobile crushing and screening project for an aggregate customer in Indonesia. The plant was designed around a two-stage jaw crushing configuration, using a PE series jaw crusher for primary crushing and a PEX series fine jaw crusher for secondary crushing.

The complete system combines feeding, primary crushing, secondary crushing and screening on a mobile chassis. This configuration provides the customer with a compact crushing solution that can be relocated between different extraction areas when required.

For Indonesian quarry and aggregate applications, equipment selection needs to consider not only the required production capacity but also local operating practices, maintenance requirements and the characteristics of the raw material. Based on the customer’s requirements, UNIQUEMAC developed this 50TPH mobile jaw crusher plant to provide a practical and flexible solution for aggregate production.

Customer Requirements

The customer required a crushing plant with a target capacity of approximately 50 TPH. The solution also needed to provide several finished aggregate sizes for construction-related applications.

Another important consideration was the customer’s preference for a jaw crusher-based crushing process. Instead of using a more complicated crushing circuit, the project adopted a two-stage jaw crusher configuration consisting of a PE400×600 jaw crusher for primary crushing and a PEX250×1000 fine jaw crusher for secondary crushing.

Mobility was also an important requirement. Since quarrying and aggregate operations may involve different working areas, a mobile crushing plant can provide greater flexibility than a conventional fixed installation when relocation is necessary.

Based on these requirements, UNIQUEMAC designed a complete mobile crushing and screening system with four main processing stages: feeding, primary crushing, secondary crushing and screening.

50TPH Mobile Crushing Plant Configuration

The complete plant includes a GZT0724 vibrating feeder, PE400×600 jaw crusher, PEX250×1000 fine jaw crusher and 3YK1548 vibrating screen.

Processing Stage Equipment Model Main Function
Feeding Vibrating Feeder GZT0724 Continuous and uniform feeding
Primary Crushing Jaw Crusher PE400×600 Primary reduction of raw stone
Secondary Crushing Fine Jaw Crusher PEX250×1000 Further crushing and size reduction
Screening Vibrating Screen 3YK1548 Classification of finished aggregates

The equipment is integrated into a mobile crushing system, allowing the plant to be moved to different working locations according to production requirements.

GZT0724 Vibrating Feeder

The GZT0724 vibrating feeder is installed at the front of the crushing process. Its main function is to provide a continuous and relatively uniform flow of raw material to the primary jaw crusher.

Stable feeding is important for maintaining consistent crushing performance. An appropriately configured feeder can help prevent sudden surges of material from entering the crusher and supports a more stable production process.

The compact design of the GZT0724 also makes it suitable for integration into the mobile crushing configuration used in this project.

PE400×600 Jaw Crusher for Primary Crushing

The PE400×600 jaw crusher performs the primary crushing stage.

According to the project configuration, the maximum feed size is up to approximately 340 mm. The primary crusher reduces the incoming stone into a smaller size that can then be processed by the secondary crushing stage.

Jaw crushers are widely used for primary crushing because of their relatively simple mechanical structure and their ability to handle a wide range of hard and abrasive rock materials.

For this 50TPH project, the PE400×600 provides the initial size reduction required before the material enters the PEX fine jaw crusher.

PEX250×1000 Fine Jaw Crusher for Secondary Crushing

After primary crushing, the material enters the PEX250×1000 fine jaw crusher for secondary size reduction.

The PEX series fine jaw crusher is used to further reduce the crushed material and prepare it for final screening. The selected PEX250×1000 model has a stated processing capacity range of approximately 16–50 TPH, making it suitable for the project’s target production level when properly configured and operated.

The secondary crushing stage is particularly important when the customer requires multiple relatively fine aggregate specifications from the same raw material.

3YK1548 Vibrating Screen

The 3YK1548 vibrating screen performs the final classification stage.

The project is designed to produce four aggregate size ranges:

  • 0–5 mm
  • 5–10 mm
  • 10–20 mm
  • 20–31.5 mm

Screening separates the crushed material according to particle size, allowing the customer to obtain different aggregate specifications from the same crushing process.

The three-deck screen is therefore an important part of the complete system rather than simply an auxiliary component. Proper screening helps improve product classification and provides greater control over the final aggregate sizes.

How the Two-Stage Jaw Crushing Process Works

The crushing process can be summarized as:

Raw Material → Vibrating Feeder → PE400×600 Jaw Crusher → PEX250×1000 Fine Jaw Crusher → 3YK1548 Vibrating Screen → Finished Aggregates

First, raw stone is continuously fed into the PE400×600 primary jaw crusher by the GZT0724 vibrating feeder.

The primary jaw crusher reduces the larger feed material into a smaller size. The material is then transferred to the PEX250×1000 fine jaw crusher for additional crushing.

After secondary crushing, the material enters the 3YK1548 vibrating screen. The screen separates the crushed material into different size fractions according to the required specifications.

The final products from this project are designed around 0–5 mm, 5–10 mm, 10–20 mm and 20–31.5 mm aggregate sizes.

This two-stage crushing and screening process creates a relatively straightforward circuit while providing multiple finished aggregate specifications.

Why Use a Two-Stage Jaw Crusher Configuration?

One of the main characteristics of this project is the use of jaw crushers for both primary and secondary crushing.

1. Simple Crushing Circuit

A two-stage jaw crusher configuration has a relatively straightforward process layout:

Primary Jaw Crusher → Secondary Fine Jaw Crusher → Vibrating Screen

A simpler circuit can make equipment operation, inspection and routine maintenance easier to organize, depending on the application and site conditions.

2. Familiar Equipment Configuration

Jaw crushers are widely used in aggregate and quarry applications. For operators who already have experience with PE and PEX series jaw crushers, selecting a familiar equipment configuration can simplify operation and maintenance.

This was an important consideration in this Indonesian project.

3. Flexible Mobile Operation

Because the equipment is integrated into a mobile crushing plant, the system can be relocated when the working area changes.

This can be particularly useful for quarry and aggregate projects where material extraction locations may change over time.

Instead of constructing a completely new fixed crushing foundation for every working location, a mobile crushing solution provides greater flexibility for relocation.

4. Multiple Aggregate Sizes

The combination of secondary crushing and three-deck screening allows the plant to classify finished materials into several specifications.

For this project, the target product sizes include:

0–5 mm | 5–10 mm | 10–20 mm | 20–31.5 mm

The actual output of each size fraction depends on the raw material characteristics, feed gradation, crusher settings, screening conditions and other operating parameters.

5. Compact Solution for 50TPH Production

For a project with a target capacity of around 50 TPH, equipment selection needs to balance production capacity, site requirements, mobility and investment considerations.

The selected GZT0724 feeder, PE400×600 jaw crusher, PEX250×1000 fine jaw crusher and 3YK1548 vibrating screen form a compact crushing and screening solution designed around the customer’s requirements.

Advantages of This Mobile Crushing Plant for Indonesian Projects

Mobile and Relocatable Design

The mobile configuration allows the crushing equipment to be moved when the working location changes. This can reduce the limitations associated with permanent fixed installations.

For customers working across multiple quarry areas or requiring flexible site deployment, mobility can be an important factor when selecting a crushing plant.

Jaw Crusher-Based Configuration

The plant uses PE and PEX series jaw crushers for the two crushing stages.

This configuration is suitable for customers who prefer a jaw crusher-based process because of its relatively simple structure and familiar operating principle.

Four Finished Aggregate Specifications

The three-deck vibrating screen provides classification into multiple finished product sizes.

The planned specifications for this project are:

  • 0–5 mm
  • 5–10 mm
  • 10–20 mm
  • 20–31.5 mm

This makes the plant suitable for aggregate production where different material sizes are required.

Integrated Crushing and Screening Process

The complete system combines feeding, crushing and screening into one coordinated production process.

Rather than selecting individual machines without considering the complete circuit, UNIQUEMAC designed the equipment around the customer’s target capacity and required product sizes.

Project Result

The 50TPH mobile crushing plant was successfully delivered and commissioned at the customer’s site in Indonesia. The complete system is designed to provide stable aggregate production while maintaining the mobility required by the customer’s operating conditions.

The project demonstrates how a crushing plant can be customized according to local equipment preferences, required production capacity, finished aggregate specifications and site mobility requirements.

For customers considering a mobile jaw crusher plant in Indonesia, the most important step is not simply selecting a crusher model. The feeder, primary crusher, secondary crusher, vibrating screen, material characteristics and required final products all need to be considered as one complete crushing system.
