The vibrating feeder is the source of the entire production line. If there is a blockage or spillage, the stone production line may be paralyzed in serious cases. Therefore, it is very important to ensure the normal operation of the vibrating feeder.
So what are the reasons for the blocking, spillage and failure of the vibrating feeder? How can we avoid failures and ensure the operation of the equipment?
1. From the characteristics of the material itself, the main reason for the blockage of the vibrating feeder is the high viscosity and moisture. Due to the reduced fluidity of the material, the usual “hanging on the wall” and “shed material” phenomena will occur after the material enters the warehouse, which is particularly serious during the rainy season. If the above problems occur, UNIQUEMAC GROUP engineers recommend adjusting the gap between the feeder bars, or adding steel plates to close the feeder bars to allow the material to pass quickly.
2. It may be caused by excessive feeding, resulting in the accumulation of materials in the machine base, increasing the lifting resistance of the screw conveyor, and poor operation of the hopper. In this case, the feed amount should be reduced immediately and the feed should be kept uniform.

3. There is too little material in the silo. Because the material falls from a height of more than ten meters, the deeper the depth of the vibrating feeder silo, the greater the acceleration, and the greater the impact. Therefore, under the action of gravity, the material of a certain size gradually impacts and compacts the stored material at the bottom of the silo; when the material is discharged again, it is very likely to be blocked.
4. Poor management of material storage points leads to large pieces of material or foreign matter entering the silo. At the entrance of the silo of the vibrating feeder, the sieve mouth that is not set as required is too large, causing large pieces of material or foreign matter to enter the silo and cause blockage. During use, we should also pay attention not to directly press the load of the silo on the chute of the feeder, which will cause fatigue damage to the spring plate and the connecting fork for a long time, causing one of them to break.

5. Structural blockage. The silos of the vibrating feeder are all made of steel plates, and most of them are cones, square cones or hyperbolas with large upper openings and small lower openings. The material flows from top to bottom in the silo by its own weight, and the smaller the flow section is, which is also a reason for blockage.
6. During the shutdown period of the vibrating feeder transportation system corresponding to the silo, due to the long storage time of materials in the silo and the influence of humidity, the friction between the material and the silo wall increases, causing blockage.
